Light Weight Bogen Tripod w/ Fluid Head

The Bogen/Manfrotto lightweight kit includes the 501HDV fluid head, 351MVB 1-stage tripod, 3189 mid-level spreader, and the MBAG90P tripod bag.

Designed to accommodate evolving video technology, the 501HDV features improved drag in both axes and switchable counterbalance for the latest ultralight High-Definition camcorders. In addition, controls have been repositioned and reshaped for superior operational ergonomics. A sliding camera plate helps balance uneven payloads due to outboard batteries or matte boxes, dual rosettes permit left- or two-handed pan arm configurations, and the rear-mounted spirit level facilitates rapid setups.

Simplicity and strength are the two main features of the 1-stage aluminum alloy 351MVB tripod. One stage means longer leg tubes with fewer joints, and therefore a more rigid support which requires less time to erect. Though not as compact for transport as multi-staged designs, torsional rigidity is vastly superior, and is further augmented by the included 3189 mid-level spreader.
